Typically, Android devices are tied to a Google account. This account can be used to backup contacts directly, and pictures via Google Photos.
To enable contact backup to your Google account, please follow these steps:
- Open your Settings app and search for 'Accounts'
- Tap your Google account then tap the the email address shown
- Find and enable Contacts.
Your device will automatically sync the contacts in you Phone app with Google Contacts.
You can view and edit your contacts online at https://contacts.google.com/
To enable Picture backup, please follow these steps:
- Open the Google Photos app. (If not already on your phone, you can download it from the Play store)
- Use the menu button then tap Settings
- Tap 'Back up & sync' then turn it on

- Turn on Contacts.
When you're asked if you want to Merge or Cancel, tap Merge.
All of the information stored in Contacts uploads to iCloud.
