There are several possibilities why a Locate may not be accurate for your Kindle.
The "Location-Based Services" function may be disabled on your device. To enable it:
- Pull down the Status bar at the top of your screen.
- Select "More"
- Select "Location-Based Services"
- Select "On"
Note: Non-4G LTE Wireless Kindles use WiFi to determine a location. If the WiFi network has out-of-date data registered to it then it could be locating on a previous address associated with the WiFi.
Note: 4G LTE Kindles with "Location-Based Services" activated use GPS to determine a location. GPS signals are not strong and therefore can have difficulty supporting the Locate if the device is indoors. Please try running another Locate with the Kindle close to a window or in line-of-sight of the sky.
